It’s towards the end of the fourth term and that means final examinations are approaching, certainly they are more stressful but they are also a way for learners to put the knowledge they acquired through the year into use.

Final exams cover the things learners were taught the whole year, topics covered early in the past semesters, which is why it is important to make preparations for the final exams, plan ahead and have a study plan to help learners in organizing their time.

Creating a timetable and following it is the stepping stone towards being effective, efficient and productive as students.

Develop an organised approach

Time is the most valuable thing a person can ever waste, therefore, it is important that time be used effectively when it comes to the academics success of learners is important and sticking to a study timetable drawn is as important as creating one.

Time management is not something that we were taught or born with. It is something that we have learned to master through the tasks that we have especially with our school work as a way of developing an organized approach to your studies and achieve effective results.

Students often wonder where all of the time went, good time management yields better results, ensuring that the time you spend studying gives you the maximum amount of learning as much as possible.

The following techniques can be used for final exam preparations:

  • Devote your entire focus to the task at hand
  • Prioritise
  • Avoid procrastinating

Having a study plan as a learner is very important as it helps you maximize and prioritize on the things that are of urgency or importance.
